This year has started out pretty slow in the donation area with all the disasters going on around the world. As a result we do not have the funds to pay for professional services, and are looking for some folks who would be willing to donate their time and services.
Some of the things we have a high need for are as follows.
#1. We desperately need a Web Designer that has a great eye, and understands the key elements that make a website “pop” to our potential donors that come here to learn about us and our mission, who would like to volunteer their time in getting our website in shape.
#2. We would like to find someone who has access to products material such as T-Shirts, hats, signs etc. so that we can get items made and donated to us, to use for fundraising.
#3. We would like to hold some sort of Gala this year so that we can raise funds for the charity. It is time for us to really start expanding beyond a scope of providing equipment and start stepping up for our Veterans returning home. For the gala we will need items donated for a silent auction and/or raffle. Items that could be donated include hunting gear, camping gear, sports equipment, household equipment, yard equipment, homemade arts and crafts, vehicles etc..
#4. We are always looking for people who would like to help raise money for the charity and help spread positive word of mouth for us. We would welcome people volunteering time to do things such as car washes for fundraising, or even helping us offer service to our Veterans such as yard-work, housework etc. if we were to receive a call asking us for help.Bottom line, Volunteers are awesome people and no charity can make it without them

#5. Our last need is for monetary donations as we do not have a big base of people and we do not have a large funding base which is something we would like to see change in 2011. We know that times are hard for most folks at this time and large donations are hard to give, so If you can donate $5, $10 or even $20 it would be highly appreciated and valued.
We look forward to hearing from all of you fine folks, and we hope that 2011 will see us being able to help out more of our Active and Veteran Service-Members.
